Creatful, based in Hampshire, is a Community Interest Company that is passionate about making sure everyone in their community has access to creative tools so they can learn skills, connect with others and manage their mental wellbeing through mindful creativity. They run regular Craft and Chat events and more specific craft workshops too, so it is great to hear that they have secured funding from UnLtd, the foundation for social entrepreneurs, to help them continue their good work.

As the NHS faces unprecedented resource challenges, resulting in long wait times for mental-health support, Creatful look to empower local people to better manage their wellbeing through creative activities.

Founder of Creatful, Nancy Fellows, found herself stuck between two NHS mental-health services, not meeting the requirements to be treated by either. After being left with no choice but to fund her own treatment, and finding a lack of a creative outlet throughout her journey, Nancy strived to create a safe space for people just like her, which is how Creatful was born.

Nancy says

“I am thrilled to have the support of UnLtd to help me reach more people in my community to share mindful creativity and bring people together”

UnLtd is currently working hard with partners from both the public and private sectors to deliver social impact by harnessing the huge potential of social entrepreneurs to solve society’s biggest challenges.

Creatful are members of the Creativity Found Collective and their page can be found here.

Creativity Found Collective

The Creativity Found Collective is a membership for artists and crafters who share their creative skills with grown-ups through workshops, online courses, products or subscriptions. It is also a membership for business-support enterprises who use their expertise to help those artists and crafters to grow their businesses.

We promote their offerings on the website and connect them with a network of like-minded business owners.

All of this is backed up by the Creativity Found podcast, in which I chat with grown-ups who have found or re-found their creativity later in life.

You can find out more about the Creativity Found Collective membership here.

And don't forget, you can subscribe to the mailing list here.
